Thomas Horacek has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Thomas started their career as an Electrical Engineering intern at Tri-State Generation & Transmission in 2009, where they created a data visualization system and automated data collection for blackout studies.

Thomas then worked as a Systems Engineering intern at Symmetricom in 2010, where they automated daily modem communication data and conducted a market study on miniature GPS receivers.

In 2011, they joined Avaya as a Software Engineer, where they designed and developed customer-facing diagnostic web applications.

Simultaneously, they also worked as a Learning Assistant & Grader at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

From 2015 to 2019, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at MapQuest, leading the development of the MapQuest.js SDK and driving revenue through embedded API usage.

Since 2019, they have been working at Vertafore as a Front End Architect, leading the adoption of Storybook as a documentation tool, improving the usability of the Alloy component library, and implementing React Testing Library for front-end applications.
