Peter Ridgley

CEO and Founder at Verterim

Peter Ridgley has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. From 2000 to 2002, they were the Founder/Principal Consultant at Securnet. From 2002 to 2011, they held various roles at Iron Mountain, including Vice President of Information Security, Director of IT Security Administration, Manager of Information Security, and Principal Network Engineer. From 2011 to 2013, they were the GRC National Practice Lead at OpenSky Corp, where they initiated the practice area and developed GRC strategies. In 2016, they became an Adjunct Professor at Boston College. Finally, in 2013, they founded and became the CEO of Verterim, a professional services consulting firm specializing in Governance, Risk and Compliance Program implementation.

Peter Ridgley obtained their BA from Denison University in 1994, majoring in Economics with a minor in Spanish. Peter then went on to obtain a M.S. in Information Assurance from Norwich University in 2011. Peter also holds certifications from ISC2 (CISSP, obtained in March 2005), ISACA (CGEIT, obtained in April 2009; CISM, obtained in May 2008; CRISC, obtained in August 2010).
