Tom Murphy

Tom Murphy is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in account management and business development. Currently serving as the Trade Accounts Associate Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since December 2023, Tom has a proven track record of leadership, overseeing a team of five Account Directors responsible for managing various trade accounts. Previously, Tom held the position of Field Director at Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. from July 2023 to October 2023, and spent nearly two decades at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals in various roles, including Field Director for Trade and Alternate Channels and Corporate Account Director for Trade, where Tom was instrumental in managing key relationships with major wholesalers. Tom holds a Master of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and additional educational credentials from Framingham State University.
