Ran Gartenberg

Ran Gartenberg delivers his financial expertise to Vertex in his capacity as Chief Financial Officer. Ran manages all financial aspects of the Vertex Funds, including cash management, financial and tax reporting, and portfolio company monitoring. His skills have been fully utilized with respect to portfolio company exits and overall fund investment and divestment strategy. He delivers active board-level support at portfolio companies including Aternity that was acquired by Riverbed and Leadspace.

Prior to joining Vertex in 1998, Ran worked as an Investment Banker with Evergreen, a leading VC and investment bank where he managed private placements for private and public technology companies. Previously, Ran served as an Investment Manager for the Israel Corporation, a large diversified investment corporation. In this role, he evaluated investment and divestment opportunities and performed business and financial due diligence. Prior to completing his graduate studies, Ran was a Supervising Auditor at PwC, Israel.

Ran holds an M.B.A. from New York University, a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University, Israel, and a CPA license from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel.
