John Lechman is the National Technical Lead for Occupational Safety & Health at The Vertex Companies LLC, a position held since 2025. Previously, they worked as the Occupational Safety Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 2020 to 2024, and as an Industrial Hygienist and Acting Safety Manager during their tenure at the same organization from 2012 to 2020. John earned a BA in Chemistry from Louisiana Tech University between 1986 and 1991 and has extensive experience in industrial hygiene and occupational safety, including roles at The University of Texas Medical Branch and ALTEC Environmental Consultants, Inc.
