Michael Cook

Michael Cook is an experienced professional in category management and aerospace engineering, currently working at Vertical Aerospace since March 2023. Prior to this role, Michael served as the Head of the Digital Enablers Programme at Defence Equipment & Support from August 2020 to March 2023, where responsibilities included delivering a digital enterprise for the Future Combat Air System and advising high-level military officials. Michael's previous experience in the Royal Air Force spanned nearly 25 years, holding various positions such as Engineering Officer, Head of Training and Development, and Deputy Chief Air Engineer. Michael also contributed to the UK's military operations in Afghanistan as the Lead Analyst for Afghan Political and Security Transition. Michael holds an Executive MBA from Cranfield School of Management, a Master of Arts in Defence Studies from King's College London, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from the University of Nottingham.
