Tom Clark

Tom Clark is an accomplished aerospace engineer with extensive experience in data and communications, having served as Lead Engineer at Vertical Aerospace since September 2021, where Tom leads the development of the telemetry system for the VA-1X demonstrator aircraft. Previously, Tom worked at Rolls-Royce for over two decades, holding various roles including Product Cyber Security Specialist, where Tom ensured the security and resilience of numerous products, and Embedded Systems Specialist, where Tom led the implementation of an IoT-enabled airborne asset monitoring platform. Tom's career also includes significant leadership positions such as System Design Team Leader, where Tom supervised a team of engineers, and expertise in gas turbine control system development and safety-critical software certification. Tom holds a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Loughborough University.
