Michael Wehrell

Michael Wehrell is the Founder, President, and CEO of VertiMax, where they built the company’s product line and elevated the brand to national recognition. They oversee marketing, sales, business development, financial management, and product R&D, and have led a team of 21 across divisions, contributing to VertiMax's ascent to over $70M in sales. Previously, they were a Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman (1986-1991), where they developed test procedures to evaluate the stability of the satellite’s atomic clock and created an algorithm to compensate for long-term frequency drift. During their career they held roles at Raytheon (1991-1994), Cisco (1994-1997), and Lucent Technologies (1997-2001), contributing to projects in satellite acquisition design, systems integration and test, and wireless broadband market development, training, and automation. They earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Satellite Communications & Micro Processor Applications (University of Florida, 1985) and a Master's degree in Space Communications, Micro Processor Applications (University of Florida, 1986).
