Dr. Michael Boot

Dr. Michael Boot has a diverse work experience. Dr. Michael is the Co-Founder and co-CEO of Vertoro since May 2017. Prior to this, they held various roles at Eindhoven University of Technology, including Fellow Biomass Valorization into Chemicals and Fuels from January 2016 onwards, and Innovation Manager and Part-Time Assistant Professor from December 2010 to December 2015. Dr. Boot was also involved in founding several companies, including SRM Solutions B.V., where they served as a Co-Founder from January 2016 to May 2017. Dr. Michael was also a Co-Founder of Progression Capital BV from March 2012 to May 2017, and Savage Rivale from October 2011 to May 2017. In addition, they co-founded Progression-Industry BV from May 2008 to May 2017. Dr. Boot's early career included working as a PhD Student at Eindhoven University of Technology from June 2005 to April 2010, focusing on improving mixing in compression ignition engines.

Dr. Michael Boot has a diverse and extensive education history spanning multiple institutions and fields of study. Dr. Michael began their educational journey at kruisheren, where they completed their high school education from 1992 to 1998. Afterward, they pursued higher education at Eindhoven University of Technology, where they earned both their MSc in 2005 and their PhD in 2010. Their area of specialization during this time was Combustion Technology. Continuing their pursuit of knowledge and academic excellence, Dr. Boot attended TIAS School for Business and Society from 2014 to 2016. During this period, they completed an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), focusing on executive-level business strategies and leadership.
