Peter Davies

Peter Davies is a founder and CEO of Verv, a UK-based clean-tech startup. Verv uses advanced energy analytics and machine learning to help consumers save money on their energy bills, reduce their carbon footprint, and ensure home safety. Under Peter's leadership, Verv has developed cutting-edge technology including the Verv hub for optimizing energy usage in the home, a blockchain-based peer-to-peer energy trading system, and embedded smart microchips that predict faults in appliances.

In addition, Peter is a founder and Non-Executive Director of Austin Consultants, a LabVIEW consultancy that specializes in system integration and turnkey engineering solutions for automated testing, measurement, and control systems. Austin Consultants works with major companies such as Airbus, Caterpillar, the JET Fusion Reactor, and Rolls Royce.

Peter Davies has a diverse education history. In 1999, they attended East Norfolk Sixth Form College, where they studied mathematics, physics, physical education, and general studies. Peter then went on to the University of Bath from 2001 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in computers, electronics, and communicational engineering.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Peter obtained several certifications in the field. In 2004, they became a BSAC Snorkel Instructor through the BSAC institution. In 2005, they achieved certifications in Advanced Architectures in LabVIEW, NI VISION, and TestStand II: Customization Course, all from National Instruments. In 2008, Peter became a Certified LabVIEW Architect through the National Instruments institution.

In 2011 and 2012, Peter attended Tech Music School in London, where they obtained a diploma in commercial music performance with a focus on drums. Most recently, in 2015 and 2016, they furthered their education at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), completing the Introduction to Acting levels 1, 2 & 3 course.
