David Yi

David Yi is the CEO and co-founder of Very Good Light, a men's grooming and self-care company. David is also a fashion editor and journalist, and has worked as a stylist for Capitol Records.

Yi began their career as a freelance writer and editor, before landing a job as a fashion reporter for Mashable in March 2015. David launched Mashable's first ever fashion vertical, and became known for their focus on breaking news, long-form stories, styling, and hack/utility stories.

In February 2014, Yi began working as a menswear WWD for Condé Nast. In this role, they covered the American menswear market and fashion business, while also breaking news stories. David left Condé Nast in January 2015 to become a consultant for Harper's Bazaar.

Yi returned to freelancing in January 2012, before landing their current role as CEO and co-founder of Very Good Light in 2016.

David Yi received their Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California.
