Jacob Hutson has a diverse work experience. Jacob began their career in 2012 as an Assistant Tennis Professional at The Country Club, where they assisted the tennis professional in teaching clinics and hosting adult's night sessions, as well as maintaining the tennis courts and club house. In the same year, they took on the role of Tutor/Group Study Leader at Maryville College, where they led sections for sociology, statistics, and history. In 2014, they were a Cashier at Home Depot, where they processed transactions and answered customer questions. In 2015, they became a Sustainability Intern at Maryville College, where they gathered and researched information regarding aspects of campus sustainability practices. In 2016, they worked at Your Serve Tennis as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and Store Associate/Racket Stringer. In 2018, they were an Operations Coordinator at Veryable. Finally, in 2020, they became an Operations Manager at TechnoRV, and in 2021 they returned to Veryable as a Team Support & Development Specialist.

Jacob Hutson attended Morristown Hamblen High School East from 2008 to 2012, earning a high school diploma. Jacob then attended Maryville College from 2012 to 2016, earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Minor Degree in Jacob'story. In November 2016, they obtained a USPTA Professional certification from the United States Professional Tennis Association.
