Samuel Harding is a design engineer specializing in experimental fluid dynamics and the mechanical design of hydrofoiling vehicles, currently serving as the Head of Hydrofoil Systems at Vessev since 2020. Previously, Samuel gained experience as a Stainless Steel Welder Assistant at Consortium Engineering Services Ltd and served as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Sinclair Knight Mertz Ltd and Genesis Energy. Samuel completed a post-doctoral research associate position at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, focusing on hydrokinetic turbine performance, and earned a Ph.D. in Tidal Energy from The University of Edinburgh. With a strong foundation established through a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland, Samuel has contributed to innovative projects including the world's first hydrofoiling eBike during tenure at Manta5.
