Ben Smith

Ben Smith is an experienced professional with a background in project management and engineering, currently serving as an Assistant Project Manager focused on Offshore Operational Readiness at Vestas since September 2021. Previously, Ben has held roles such as Vestas Graduate in Global Supply Chain and Regional Logistics AME, emphasizing supply network and logistics development. Additional experience includes serving as a Design Engineer at Sunrun, an SULI Intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory where Ben contributed to lithium-ion battery design, and a Test Engineering Intern at Regal Beloit Corporation, providing support for product testing and development. Research efforts as a Solar Furnace Research Assistant at Valparaiso University involved innovative solar energy applications for hydrogen fuel production. Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University, obtained in 2020.
