David Laino

David Laino is a seasoned professional in the wind energy sector with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Simulation Specialist at Vestas since September 2019, David previously held the position of Vice President at Windward Engineering, where significant contributions included designing a 4kW wind turbine and assisting in the development of international certification standards. David's earlier experience as a Senior Engineer at Endurance Wind Power Inc involved founding a company focused on small and medium wind turbines, as well as achieving product certifications to AWEA and IEC 61400 standards. David's academic credentials include a Ph.D. and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
