Michael Balvers

Michael Balvers currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Head of Global Manufacturing - Assembly at Vestas, overseeing all nacelle, generator, component, and powertrain factories worldwide, including locations in Brazil, the USA, Denmark, Germany, Poland, India, China, and Taiwan. Prior to this role, Michael held several senior positions at Vestas in the Asia Pacific region, including COO and Vice President, managing critical aspects such as health, safety, environment, quality, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, and transport. Michael's extensive experience includes managerial roles focused on transforming manufacturing operations, establishing new production technologies, and leading significant mergers. Education includes a Master of Science in International Business Administration from Maastricht University, alongside strong language skills in Traditional Chinese (Mandarin).
