Thomas Schmidt is an experienced composites specialist with a strong background in process development and engineering. Currently serving as a Specialist Infusion & Curing at Vestas since July 2017, Thomas is responsible for all blade components of on- and offshore wind turbines, focusing on infusion strategies, consumable materials, and process parameters. Previously, Thomas held the position of Process Engineer for rotor blades at SGL Rotec GmbH & Co. KG, where responsibilities included leading process engineering in blade and mold manufacturing. Earlier in the career, Thomas worked at Faserinstitut Bremen, leading the process development of RTM components for the Airbus A320 family. Thomas holds a Master of Science in Lightweight Engineering & Composites and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Wirtschaftsingenieur.
