Michael Dafferner

Michael Dafferner has over 19 years of experience in various roles related to software testing and engineering. Michael is currently working at Vestwell as the Director of Test Engineering, where they have expanded the SDET/QA Team and implemented multiple test automation frameworks. Previously, they worked at Integral Ad Science, where they served as the Senior Manager of Release Engineering and Manager of QA Automation, leading teams and optimizing testing processes. Michael also has experience at Percolate Inc. as a Senior QA Engineer, at TIBCO Software Inc. as a Senior QA Engineer, at SES as a Senior Software Engineer, and at Sirius XM Radio Inc. in multiple roles including Senior Orbital Analyst, Senior Systems Administrator of Satellite Control, Unix Administrator, and Satellite Controller. Additionally, they have worked as an SAT Instructor at Kaplan. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated a strong ability to improve testing capabilities, automate processes, and foster team growth.

Michael Dafferner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Stony Brook University, which they obtained from 1997 to 2000. Michael then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Physics from The City College of New York, completing it from 2004 to 2009. In 2011 to 2012, they obtained a Professional Certificate in C++ Programming from New York University. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including "Leading Teams," "Influencing People," "Managing Talent," and "Inspiring and Motivating Individuals" from Coursera, as well as the "SAFe 4 Certified Agilist" certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in February 2018.
