Mike Ward

Mike Ward has extensive experience in finance and shared services, with a focus on finance transformation and global operations. Mike has held various leadership roles in companies such as Vesuvius, Arriva Group, Cisco Systems, Avis, British Telecommunications, and Pioneer Electronics. In their most recent role as Global Finance and Shared Services Director at Vesuvius, they led international finance compliance operations and shared service delivery globally. Mike has also been responsible for designing and implementing finance target operating models, ERP systems development, shared services models, and finance operations rationalization. Throughout their career, they have managed large teams and been involved in the development and expansion of shared service center operations in various geographic locations.

Mike Ward is qualified by The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Business Studies with a Finance specialism from Teesside University. Mike also attended Egglescliffe School in Stockton-on-tees.
