Robert MacLeod

Robert MacLeod is a Non-Executive Director with a strong background in finance and a passion for leveraging science, engineering, and technology to tackle complex global challenges. After concluding a successful tenure as the Chief Executive of Johnson Matthey in April 2022, they now hold multiple Non-Executive roles, including Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at Dstl and Chair of the Audit Committee at Balfour Beatty plc and Vesuvius plc. MacLeod previously served as Group Finance Director for both Atkins and Johnson Matthey and has held Non-Executive positions with Aggreko and RELX plc. They earned a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University and enjoy cycling, golf, skiing, and triathlons in their leisure time.
