Stephen Shaw

Stephen Shaw is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting. Currently serving as Group Reporting Manager at Vesuvius since April 2018, Stephen has overseen significant projects such as the $57 million acquisition of a specialty refractory producer and the full buy-in of the UK pension plan with liabilities exceeding £450 million. Previous roles include Senior Group Accountant at Vesuvius, where responsibilities included managing the transition to IFRS16 and providing accounting guidance on government grant income. Additionally, Stephen has held key positions at BT as Interim Senior Finance Manager, Darty plc as Group Financial Reporting Manager, Rank Group as Group Accountant, and RSM Tenon as Audit Senior. Stephen's educational background includes a First Class BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Southampton.
