Rob Thomason

Executive Director at VETASSESS

Rob Thomason has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Rob is currently serving as the Chair of HEPCo since October 2020. Prior to that, they were the Executive Director of VETASSESS, Australia's leading Assessment Authority, from December 2018. Before that, Rob held multiple roles at CPA Australia, including Group Executive of Member Engagement and Education, Executive General Manager of Education, Executive General Manager of Business Development, and General Manager of Professional Development.

In addition, Rob served as a Director at the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort Management Board from June 2013 to December 2015. Rob also worked as the General Manager of Education at Fairfax Media from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, they were the Director of Executive Education at Melbourne Business School from 2002 to 2007 and held a similar role at Mt Eliza Business School during the same period.

Rob Thomason has a diverse background and a track record of driving growth, leading strategic planning initiatives, and managing large teams.

Rob Thomason attended The Wharton School in 2017, where they focused on strategy. In 2008, they completed the Company Directors Diploma at AICD. Prior to that, Rob earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from RMIT University in 1991, and their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Urban Sociology from Victoria University in 1982. Rob also obtained the Company Directors Course certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2010.
