Peter Diel

Peter Diel currently serves as the Head of Index Product for Europe at VettaFi, a position held since July 2025. Prior to this role, Peter Diel worked at Solactive AG as Managing Director and Head of Product Development from November 2019 to June 2025. Previous experience includes a tenure at DWS Group, where Peter Diel held the positions of Managing Director and Head of Passive Portfolio Management Institutional Mandates for EMEA and Asia, as well as Director and Senior Portfolio Manager from August 2007 to September 2019. Earlier in the career, Peter Diel was Vice President of Listed Derivative Sales at Deutsche Bank from January 1997 to July 2007, and worked as a Junior Consultant in Investment Banking at Steria Mummert Consulting AG from December 1995 to December 1996. Peter Diel began the career as a Bankkaufmann at ODDO BHF from August 1987 to June 1989. Peter Diel holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Goethe University Frankfurt, earned between 1989 and 1994.
