Jim Macnie has a diverse work experience in the music and media industry. Jim started their career as a Columnist at Billboard in 1996 and worked there until 1999. Jim then moved on to work as a Contributing Writer at DownBeat Magazine from 2000 to 2015. During the same period, they also worked for MTVN Digital as a Managing Editor, where they focused on brand enhancement, traffic growth, and advertorial strategies at VH1.com. In 2011, they joined VEVO as an Editorial Director, a position they currently hold.
Jim Macnie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Rhode Island.
