Kyle Forster

Mechanical Engineer at Vexev

Kyle Forster has had a varied and extensive career in engineering. In 2011, they began their career as an Industrial Trainee at Aeronautical Engineers Australia (AEA) Aerospace Group Pty Ltd, where they were responsible for document control, drawing corrections, component redesign and CAD. Kyle then moved on to University of New South Wales as a Tutor in 2011, and in 2012 they were an Industrial Trainee at DOWNER EDI RAIL, where they assisted in overseeing system retrofit and project planning as well as some structural analysis tasks. In the same year, they became Technical Director at Shadow Race Engineering. In 2014, they became an Aerodynamics Engineer at JKF Consultants and a PHD Candidate at UNSW Australia. In 2018, they joined the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team as an Aerodynamicist and Graduate Aerodynamicist. Most recently, in 2020, they joined VEXEV as a Mechanical Engineer, and also became a Lead Aerodynamicist at JKF Consultants.

Kyle Forster received their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aerospace from UNSW in 2012, following their attendance from 2009 to 2012. Before that, they attended North Sydney Boys High School from 2003 to 2008. In 2014, they began their Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering at UNSW and completed the degree in 2018.
