Donovan Hackett

Donovan Hackett has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Donovan began their career as an Undergraduate Engineer at Telstra in 1997, where they enhanced and maintained automated network design tools. Donovan then joined RailCorp in 2000 and progressed from an Undergraduate to a Team Leader position, supporting the rollout of the Advanced Train Running Information Control System (ATRICS) by enhancing the system's end user UI and backend services.

In 2004, Donovan joined Citrix Systems as a Software Engineer and contributed to precursor projects for the XenDesktop product line. Donovan designed and developed a backend solution using COM+ and SQL Server for managing the brokering of desktop virtual machine images. Donovan also worked on various roles at Citrix, including Lead Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Staff Software Engineer. Their responsibilities involved developing new products, creating prototypes, and reviewing architectures to improve customer satisfaction and vendor lock-in.
