Aaron Binford

Aaron Binford is an experienced Solutions Architect with a career spanning 17 years. In 2021, they began working as a Solutions Architect at Veza. From 2018 to 2021, they were a Senior Product Manager at Nasuni, where they were a subject matter expert on hypervisor (on-prem and cloud) integrations, investigated and qualified partner technologies on AWS, Azure, and other cloud vendors, and developed a novel solution for accelerating data propagation. From 2016 to 2018, they were an Alliance Integration Architect at IBM Cloud Object Storage, where they designed and implemented highly concurrent cloud-focused applications with Elixir and Erlang, built, maintained, and monitored world-class integration infrastructure, and enhanced IBM Cloud Object Storage integration documentation with Asciidoc and git. From 2016 to 2018, they were also a Senior DevOps Engineer at Tempus, Inc. From 2008 to 2016, they were an Advisory IT Architect at Cleversafe, an IBM Company, where they were the technical lead for the IT department, responsible for development operations expertise, datacenter (physical and virtual) architecture, and business operations support. From 2007 to 2008, they were an IT Manager at MB Real Estate Services, LLC, where they migrated the enterprise to Windows 2003 Active Directory, upgraded the corporate headquarters to a gigabit network, and consolidated end-of-life physical servers into more efficient virtual machines. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Lab Manager at The University of Chicago Law School. From 2004 to 2005, they were a Technical Support Analyst at Brookdale Senior Living.

Aaron Binford attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2001 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. Aaron also attended The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature (British and Commonwealth). In 2016, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services. Aaron also holds a VMWare VCP certification.
