Koen De Staercke

Koen De Staercke is the Chief Executive Officer at VGD, where they lead a team of experts who help entrepreneurs with financial, legal, acquisitions, reporting, and HR challenges in an authentic, pragmatic, and accessible way. Prior to VGD, they served as a Senior Advisor (Self Employed) from 2020 to 2024, focusing on leadership advisory, strategy development and execution, and complex transformations. Their career includes leadership and advisory roles at Deloitte (Partner, 2000–2014) and Alvarez & Marsal (Managing Director and Senior Advisor, 2014–2022). They earned an MBA in Marketing and Operations Management (1988–1990) and a Civil Engineer degree in Computer Sciences - Applied Mathematics (1982–1988) from KU Leuven.
