Frances Stanley

Frances Stanley serves as the Associate Pastor at Slash Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) since February 2018, bringing a wealth of experience from various roles in planning, research, and policy analysis. Currently working as a Policy and Research Analyst at the Virginia Housing Development Authority since January 2013, prior positions include Program Officer at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (2005-2013) and Senior Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond (1994-2005). Early career contributions were made as Planning Assistance Coordinator at the Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission (1992-1993) and Planner I at the Frederick County Dept of Planning & Development (1991-1992). Frances Stanley holds a Master of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary (2017-2022), has been a PhD student in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (2005-2013), and possesses a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University (1988-1991) along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the same institution (1981-1986).
