Larry Laws

Larry Laws, Sr., MBA, serves as a Certified Speaker, Coach, Trainer, and DISC Consultant with the John Maxwell Team since March 2025. As the Founder and President of First Home Alliance, a HUD-approved housing counseling agency since August 2002, Larry oversees operations and collaborates with various government and community organizations to fulfill the agency's mission. Additionally, Larry holds leadership roles as Commander of the American Legion Post 114, a Board Member for the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals - Northern Virginia Chapter, and a member of the Homeownership Advisory Council with Virginia Housing. In 2023, Larry co-authored the bestselling book "The Heart Of A Black Man," which features inspiring stories about the resilience of black men. Larry is a retired U.S. Army Career Advisor, having managed over 1700 Senior United States Army Telecommunications Supervisors. Educational credentials include an MBA from Troy University and a BS in Business and Management from the University of Maryland.
