Michele Watson

Michele Watson has an extensive career in the housing finance sector, serving as the Director of Homeownership Strategic Relationships at VHDA since June 1974, where Michele develops and maintains strong business partner relationships and consults with various legislators and agency staff. Additionally, Michele has held the position of Director of Homeownership Program at NVAR since 1985 and has served as Co-Chair and Member of the NVAR Finance Forum. Contributions to Genworth Mortgage Insurance include serving on the HFA Advisory Board. Michele's educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Political Science and Government from Radford University, completion of a Comprehensive Mortgage Banking Course at the School of Mortgage Banking, coursework in Effective Management Techniques at the College of William and Mary, and ongoing studies at the Joint Urban Studies School at Harvard and MIT and the University of Richmond.
