Farouk Zabel

Farouk Zabel has a comprehensive work experience in various roles and companies. Farouk started their career at Siemens Mobile in 1997, where they served as the Head of Program Management. In this role, they were responsible for the global management and successful launch of several mobile phone products. Farouk also led a project team across multiple locations.

In 2005, Farouk joined Flextronics Mobile as a Program Manager/Director. During their tenure, they established and built the Components, Technology & Strategy department in the Beijing Design Centre. Farouk defined the mobile phone platform strategies and developed supplier relationships. Farouk also provided engineering support to the Quality department.

Farouk then joined Flextronics/Multek in 2007 as the Senior Director of Engineering & Design. Farouk held this position until 2012, overseeing engineering and design initiatives.

From 2012 to 2018, Farouk worked at New Vision Display, Inc. as the Principal Touch Panel Technologist and VP Strategic Business Development. Farouk contributed to the company's touch panel technology and played a key role in strategic business development.

Most recently, Farouk joined VIA optronics in 2018. Farouk initially served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and later became the Managing Director in February 2021.

Farouk Zabel obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin. Farouk pursued their doctoral studies from 1992 to 1996.
