Daniel Berkovits has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Daniel currently holds the position of VP, Strategy at Via, where they have been working since February 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Strategy at Via from May 2019 to February 2021. Before joining Via, they worked at AECOM as an Associate Vice President & Senior Manager, Planning from February 2017 to May 2019. Daniel also worked as an Associate at Greenberg Traurig, LLP from August 2016 to February 2017. From August 2015 to July 2016, they held the position of Managing Director, NY Rising Community Reconstruction Program and Assistant General Counsel at the Governor's Office of Storm Recovery. Daniel has also worked at Fried Frank as a Summer Associate, SPARC as an International Public Service Fellow, the New York City Law Department as a Summer Honors Program Intern, and The Brookings Institution as a Research/Policy Assistant. Daniel began their career as an Associate at RCLCO.
Daniel Berkovits attended the University of Chicago from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained their AB degree in Sociology. Daniel then went on to Harvard Law School from 2009 to 2013, earning their JD degree in Law. During the same period, they also attended the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, specializing in Urban Planning with a concentration in Real Estate and Urban Development, and received their MUP degree.
