Stephen Kendall has a solid background in operations and management, with experience in various roles and organizations. Stephen has been working at Via since 2017, starting as an Operations Principal and eventually becoming the VP of Operations in September 2021. Prior to Via, Stephen worked at Maple Food Co. as an Operations Manager and Assistant General Manager. Stephen also held the position of Operations Manager at L.A. Kitchen. Before that, they were at DC Central Kitchen, where they worked as a Procurement Manager and Food Donations Coordinator. Stephen's career began with an internship at the Capital Area Food Bank of DC and another internship at DC Central Kitchen, focusing on revenue-generating programs.
Stephen Kendall completed their undergraduate education at Trinity College-Hartford from 2006 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Literature, and Psychology. In 2012, they obtained a certificate in Sustainable Food Systems from the University of Vermont. Additionally, Stephen has obtained several certifications in the field of food safety and analysis, including the Data Analysis Circuit from General Assembly in 2017, HACCP for Retail Food Establishments from the International HACCP Alliance in 2016, NYC Food Protection Certificate from the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in 2015, and ServSafe Food Protection Manager from the National Restaurant Association in 2014.
