Simone Kalmakis

Simone (Berkower) Kalmakis is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology sector. Simone currently serves as the VP of Engineering and previously held the role of Director of Engineering at Viam. Prior to that, Simone was Senior Director of Engineering and Director of Engineering at Arcadia. At Flatiron Health, Simone progressed through various roles including Director of Engineering, Tech Lead Manager, and Staff Software Engineering Manager. As the Founder and CEO of Symbi, which was acquired by Roomi in 2018, Simone demonstrated entrepreneurial expertise. Earlier in the career, Simone started as a Software Engineer at Curalate. Simone holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Yale University and completed studies at Sidwell Friends School.
