Jack Dobar currently serves as a Sr. Supervisor in R&D at VIAVI Solutions since August 2025. Prior to this role, Jack held the position of Production Engineer at Alluxa, Inc from December 2020 to July 2025, where responsibilities included enhancing cross-functional efficiency and conducting thorough analyses of thin-film optics. Jack began the career as a Technician, operating ultra-high vacuum chambers for thin-film coatings. In addition to engineering roles, Jack contributed as an Assistant Football Coach at Maria Carrillo High School, focusing on skill and character development for student-athletes, and served as an Outside Service Member at Mayacama Golf Club, providing hospitality to members and guests. Jack earned a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics from Sonoma State University, completing the degree in May 2022, after previously attending San Diego State University from September 2016 to December 2018.
