Stephen Wang serves as the Managing Director of VIAVI Marconi Labs since August 2022, overseeing research and innovation in emerging wireless technologies. Wang previously held senior roles at Huawei Technologies, directing corporate strategy and partnerships focused on 5G+/6G and IoT infrastructure, and led initiatives at Ocado Technology and Toshiba Research Europe in digital innovation and 5G initiatives. With an educational background that includes a PhD in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Bristol, an Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge, and an MS in Advanced Photonics and Communications from the University of Warwick, Wang is recognized for contributions to corporate market strategy, technology evaluation, and fostering multi-disciplinary collaboration within the technology sector. Additionally, Wang holds a visiting professor position at King's College London since September 2024.
