Doug Messick

Doug Messick has a comprehensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Doug started their career as a Production Manager at Image East in 1996 and later worked as a Digital Media Technician at Starbucks Coffee Company in 1999. In the same year, Doug joined Creo as a Subject Matter Expert, where they provided customer support, managed teams, and administered build machines. Doug then moved to Nokia Siemens Networks in 2004, where they worked as a Configuration Manager/Build Engineer. In this role, they led a team, handled software configuration management for multiple continents, and implemented automation systems. In 2008, Doug joined CDK Global as a Director of Engineering, where they spearheaded the migration of a high-traffic website to outageless deployments and developed a container-based build and deployment pipeline. Currently, Doug is serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Vibes, responsible for compliance, infrastructure maintenance, and delivering scalable tools.

Doug Messick attended the University of Washington but did not complete a degree there. Doug later attended Shoreline Community College where they earned an Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences degree in Visual Communications.
