Laura Lyons

Laura has extensive experience in medical devices with rich expertise in clinical, quality and regulatory affairs. This experience spans large and small companies, including Roche, Beckman Coulter, Inogen, and SonarMed. Laura has held consistent executive leadership positions for over 20 years in quality, regulatory and clinical. Through her recent position as Vice President of Clinical, Quality, and Regulatory at SonarMed, she was an integral part of the team that led the company from start-up to acquisition by a major medical device company. During her tenure at SonarMed, Laura helped raise over $12 million in the capital, identifying uses of the technology that was patented, and worked successfully with both US and EU regulators to bring innovative new technology to the market.

Laura is the President of Lyons Consulting, an independent quality, and regulatory consulting firm. In this role, as in her full-time leadership positions, she has built strong teams, mentoring her staff as they progressed in their careers.

Her 30 years of experience in the health care industry beginning in Respiratory Therapy, and her education (the University of Texas, Health Science Center at the Texas Medical Center, and BS in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix) have helped Laura be a successful collaborator at all levels of the various organizations in which she has served.
