Steven Alaniz

Dr. Alaniz earned his degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 2000. While at Texas A&M, he signed an 8-yr Health Professional Scholarship with the United States Army. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center – Baylor College of Dentistry in 2004, he began his active duty. He served the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC and the 1st Cavalry and 4th Infantry Division at Fort Hood, TX. While completing his contract in 2012, he opened his private practice in 2011 in Haslet, TX. Dr. Alaniz has completed a 6-month Implant Continuum in 2010 at the Nobel Biocare Institute in Yorba Linda, CA and in 2016, he completed a 6-month mini-residency at UCLA School of Dentistry in TMD and Oral Facial Pain. Also in 2016, Dr. Alaniz joined the United States Air Force Reserve as the Chief of Dental Services at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, TX. He is currently the Aerospace Medicine Flight Commander for the 301st Medical Squadron.

He is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Fort Worth District Dental Society. In, 2020, he was confirmed as a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry having completed over 1,100 hours of continuing education in all disciplines of dentistry and a comprehensive exam in general dentistry. This designation is held by less than 2% of general dentists in the United States. Since 2015, he has been a CEREC Mentor with the Spear Institute and in 2019 was designated Visiting Faculty. In this capacity, Dr. Alaniz teaches doctors to use CAD/CAM technology to create world-class ceramic restorations and cone beam computed tomography for multiple uses in diagnosing and implant design. Dr. Alaniz is married with four children and currently resides in Haslet, TX. He enjoys traveling, golf and is an avid baseball fan.
