Jonathan Rayner

Jonathan Rayner's career in science has focused on the discovery and development of technologies for decontaminating, detecting, and protecting against infectious diseases significant to public health and biodefense. They have extensive experience across government, industry, and academia, including roles as Principal Scientist at MRIGlobal and Director of Infectious Disease Research at Southern Research. Currently, Jonathan serves as Chief Scientific Officer at both i-Seq Biotechnology and Solaris Vaccines, while also directing the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases at the University of South Alabama. Beyond their scientific endeavors, Jonathan has embraced their passion for dogs by founding an indoor dog park and boarding facility, Barx Parx, in Mobile, AL.
