Kylie Callander has a diverse work experience in various government departments. Kylie has held executive positions such as the Executive Director of People and Governance at the Department of Government Services, where they provided strategic leadership in people and culture, corporate governance, and service delivery. Kylie also worked as the Executive Director of Corporate Services at the Department of Premier and Cabinet, where they led organizational strategy, corporate services, and procurement. Prior to that, they worked at Victoria Police as the Director of Procurement and Chief Procurement Officer, focusing on strategic sourcing and client engagement. Kylie also has experience in program management and customer service transformation at VicRoads, and as the Operations Business Manager at the Country Fire Authority. Throughout their career, Kylie has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a strategic approach to solving complex challenges.

Kylie Callander's education history includes an Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) degree from Monash University, which they pursued from 2019 to 2020. In 2006, they completed a Graduate Certificate of Applied Management (Policing and Emergency Services) from the Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM), focusing on Public Safety, Leadership, and Strategy. In 2012-2013, they attended the Airlie Leadership College, Victoria Police, for a Leadership Mentor Program in Organizational Leadership.
