Talya Mathews

Talya Mathews is an experienced professional with a strong background in data governance, strategy, and project management. Currently serving as Partnerships Manager and Data Strategy Lead at the Department of Government Services, Talya plays a key role in enhancing data capabilities for Victorian Government departments. Previous positions include Principal Advisor for Data Governance and Strategy at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Vic) and various roles in emergency response and operations in the Departments of Jobs, Justice, Health, and Family Safety Victoria. Talya's earlier experience at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners involved managing research, evaluation, and education programs, while initial roles at Murdoch Children's Research Institute focused on project management and research. Talya holds multiple degrees from Monash University and RMIT University, with a focus on politics, government, and psychology.
