Kyle Smith

Kyle Smith has a diverse work background. Kyle founded Vici Robotics in 2019 and served as the CEO, responsible for providing strategic direction and overseeing various aspects of the company. Kyle led a team to develop industry-disrupting robots for retail.

Prior to that, Kyle worked at Planet from 2017 to 2021 as a Space Systems Engineer. Kyle led the Tools & Infrastructure team, focusing on developing software systems for high-resolution satellites. These systems monitored on-orbit conditions, detected anomalies, and enacted appropriate responses.

Additionally, Kyle gained early work experience at Google starting in 2014 while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Kyle served as a Satellite Tools Developer, developing situational awareness software for on-orbit satellites and operating ground-breaking Skysat satellites.

Kyle Smith completed their education at San Jose State University from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Foothill High School from 2009 to 2013. No specific degree or field of study was mentioned for their high school education.
