James Chase

James Chase is a Development Manager at Vicinity Centres, where they have been since 2025. They joined Make Architects in 2012, co-leading the Sydney studio and contributing to its growth in the retail and mixed-use portfolio across Australasia. James has undertaken significant projects, including the redevelopment of Chatswood Chase and high-end retail developments in Shenzhen, China, and Brisbane, Australia. With a diverse background in mixed-use projects on multiple continents, they possess extensive international experience. James holds a BA in Architecture from The University of Sheffield, a Dip.Arch from Oxford Brookes University, and a postgraduate degree from the University of Westminster.
