Vern Phang

Vern Phang currently serves as Managing Legal Counsel at Vicinity Centres, overseeing a team and providing strategic legal support to various business units including Technology, Innovation, Data, Energy, and Procurement since February 2023. Prior experience includes founding and acting as Principal at Lumora Legal, offering fractional in-house legal services to startups and scale-ups. Phang also held the position of Group Counsel at AGL Energy, where responsibilities included advising on technology and telecommunications from 2015 to 2023, having been promoted from Senior Corporate Lawyer. Previous roles encompass senior legal positions at Bupa, Property Exchange Australia Ltd, and Ashurst Australia, among others, showcasing expertise in technology, corporate procurement, and regulatory compliance.
