Aitor Álvarez

Aitor Álvarez is a Senior Speech Engineer and the Head of the Speech Processing Group at Vicomtech, where they have worked since 2007 as a Senior Researcher and Project Manager focusing on Speech Technologies. Previously, they served as a PHD Researcher at UPV/EHU from 2005 to 2007 and contributed as a music critic for El Diario Vasco between 2006 and 2014. Aitor earned a degree in Ingeniero Superior en Informatica from the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea and is a trained music educator with a specialization in accordion from the Escuela de Música Illumbe. From 1997 to 1999, Aitor also taught accordion and music theory at Pasaia Musikal.
