Vice President, Business & Clinical Development At VIDA at VIDA

Joseph Reif has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Joseph is currently serving as the Vice President of Business & Clinical Development at VIDA since October 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director of Business Development at VIDA from February 2022 to October 2023.

Before joining VIDA, Joseph worked at Theravance Biopharma US, Inc. where they held multiple roles. From August 2016 to December 2021, they served as a Regional Sales Manager, leading a team of eight Institutional Account Managers in the Midwest. Joseph achieved outstanding regional performance, receiving the President's Club Award in 2018 and 2021. Prior to this role, from August 2013 to August 2016, they were an Account Manager/National Sales Trainer as part of a sales team tasked with reintroducing VIBATIV, a MRSA antibiotic. Joseph won formulary approvals for VIBATIV at various hospitals.

Joseph's earlier experience includes working at Uroplasty, Inc. as the National Accounts & Reimbursement Manager from 2008 to 2011. In this role, they provided strategic direction and leadership to support national accounts and managed care reimbursement goals. Joseph developed relationships with major medical organizations to attain coverage and reimbursement for a treatment for Overactive Bladder.

Joseph also worked at Rush University Medical Center as the Senior Administrator of Research Affairs/Office of the Provost from 2005 to 2006. During this time, they led a team responsible for developing a response to a Medicare reimbursement settlement and improved collaboration in supporting clinical trials.

Before this, Joseph had a long tenure at Pharmacia Corporation, where they held various roles from 1985 to 2003. Joseph was an Account Team Manager, District Manager, and Customer Service Manager. In these roles, they oversaw sales teams, trained new representatives, and managed business operations.

Overall, Joseph Reif has extensive experience in sales, business development, and strategic leadership across multiple industries.

Joseph Reif obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Natural Sciences from Saint John's University in the years 1980 to 1984. Joseph later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Notre Dame from 2004 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained several certifications including the CHEST Immersion Certification from Chestnet.org, the Executive Integral Leadership Program from the University of Notre Dame, the Health Care Leadership Certificate from Loyola University Chicago, the Managed Care Certification from Benedictine University, the Management Development Program from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and the Strategic Implementation certification from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
