Allen Yu

Director, Marketing Science at VideoAmp

Allen Yu has a diverse work experience encompassing roles in marketing science, pricing analytics, mathematics instruction, software engineering, tutoring, and economic research analysis. Allen is currently the Director of Marketing Science at VideoAmp. Prior to this, they worked at T-Mobile as a Senior Manager of Pricing Analytics, where they provided data science and pricing analytics support for the "T-Mobile for Business" division. Allen also served as a Pricing Manager at T-Mobile. Before joining T-Mobile, Allen worked as a Mathematics Instructor at Art of Problem Solving, specializing in teaching competition mathematics for middle school and high school students. Allen co-founded Herth, where they worked as a Software Engineer and Marketing Manager, bringing machine vision techniques to mobile devices. Allen also worked as a Mathematics Tutor at C2 Education and as an Economic Research Analyst at the Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development. Allen began their career as a Data Analyst at IBM, where they analyzed market data and developed models for retailers to optimize sales.

Allen Yu received their Bachelor's Degree from Caltech, majoring in Mathematics and Economics, from 2011 to 2015. Allen then pursued a Master's degree in Economics at UCLA from 2016 to 2017.
