Omar Barake

Omar Barake has been working in the engineering industry since 2004. Omar started at BlackBerry as a Director of HW Platform Integration and Manager of Platform Integration, where they managed a remote team of 10 staff responsible for developing backup hardware solutions for BlackBerry Handhelds. Omar then moved to Movantum as a Co-Founder in 2014. In 2016, they joined Nano Magnetics Ltd. as VP of New Technologies. In 2020, they were appointed AVP Engineering at GEOTAB and is currently SVP Hardware and Engineering at VIDERI Inc.

Omar Barake attended the University of Waterloo from 1991 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering.
